feelin' a little low

Kris is leaving for Berkeley tomorrow. It's a really big opportunity -- he gets to work in one of the most esteemed plant labs in the States. I am happy for him but I'm also selfishly very sad that he's going away. I won't see him until Dec 22nd. He'll stay for a week and back he goes to Berkeley until April 2nd.

My student visa runs out on August 31st. I will have to go back home for god knows how long before I'll see him again.

I'm very sad.
