Carry on

Butterflies of Sarawak are GORGEOUS
One good reason to visit Sarawak's rivers: the butterflies...

Heading back to the field this weekend. I'm looking forward to it because I miss being in the jungle but at the same time, I'm nervous because of whom I'm going with. Sigh.

Aw, you'll be fine. You can always dump her off the side of the boat when push comes to shove. Just say she got drunk and drowned.

You'll be fine. It's usually better than anticipated.

she's quite evil..

it also explains the time she was eyeing me when we were on the boat together...

Nice, always wanted to get a shot of a butterfly but they're jitterish. Should wait for like half an hour and crawl a cm at a time to make them feel assured;)

Yeah, butterflies can be hard to photograph - I'd like to get a nice shot of the Rajah Brooke's birdwing: the only insect protected under Sarawak's wildlife law.

Lucky girl....going back to Lubok Antu right in the middle of the rainy season. Bring an umbrella, a "Wet gear raincoat" and don't forget to keep the digicam dry.

Hmmmmm ,....you know what Miss Cayce, I love your photos but sometimes I wish you had a proper video camera. That way you could upload the film on the net,....show us a few things. Maybe I should organise something to sponsor for the purchase of one.

"Froot" - The butterfly in question - Rajah Brooke birdwing is "pretty big" compared to others, don't know how rare this species is....

Have fun Miss Cayce
