feliz navidad

Christmas was such a blast, mostly because I was surrounded by good friends and family. We camped at the best spot in the house - the smaller balcony facing the pond, all afternoon and towards the evening.

There's something about being with a bunch of good girlfriends that you can't never replace. The good conversation, the sexual innuendo that inevitably comes up, the ribbing and butt-patting. With all the great gifts I received, just being in their company for Christmas was the best gift of all.

And then there were the Christmas games that weren't particularly wholesome. Think of an eggplant attached to a guy by a string around his waist. Then think of the game musical chairs, strutting women, guys thrusting their hips with eggplants between the legs in a tight circle (facing outwards) and bawdy music ("sexy hot bomb"??).

"You should protect your goods, like this."

Filipinos are the best kind of people to have in a party. They're incredibly sporting and fun-loving, without the aid of alcohol. I swear, you'd never get a Malaysian, or any other kind of Asian or Westerner playing that game without being more than a little tipsy first. The games that they were playing yesterday were hilarious but the eggplant game beat them all. We were laughing our heads off, especially at the enthusiastic women lunging between the men's legs, and the men, progressively getting more nervous as the circle got smaller and the strings, shorter.....

One man and his eggplant, standing. And two strutting women.

The eggplant game gets dangerous.

We played a bit of Taboo too, which is an interesting peek at one's psyche...

Me: "ok, woman's best friend, mostly from Africa..."

Lets: "Hot black men!"

Me: "......."

The word was diamonds.

Food was soooooo.. good.. Roasted lamb and beef, turkey, filipino delicacies, leche flan, pasta, mystery-yet-oh-so-delicious roll, etc...

Fab five, minus one (the photographer). I admit, I had to request a full-length photo of my dress. Heee.. It's from Bali, if you must know.

Other version of the Fab five, minus one.

Santa Paws, enjoying the view.
(got small dog, must dress up)

More great photos (especially the many faces of Froot) will be on my flickr account (wish I still had the pro account - sigh!).

Many thanks to those who wished me merry christmas - hope you had a great day, yourself!

I so love your dress!!I must agree that Filipinos do know how to party (from what I read and see on tv).And yes, they need no alchohol to initiate the party mood.Heh

Merry Christmas (it is still Christmas,eh)

Pumba looks like he's rather ashamed to be seen in his red cape, hence, the averted face. Nah, just kidding. He just wants to take off, I guess. And hope the cape loosens and drops off in the process, haha.

Belated Merry Christmas and Boxing Day.
