Largest earthquake in 40 years



Oh wow. More than 6,000 people killed in at least seven countries, including Malaysia by massive tidal waves.

And all I keep thinking is, gee, we're celebrating New Year's Eve on a beach.

Look at the bright side. The tsunami or after-shocks will need to go through the entire peninsular Malaysia before it gets to South China Sea and us. It's some sort of buffer.

If there's a massive tidal wave when we're at the beach, I think I'm the first to be swept away.
