It's her birthday!!!

I've recently returned from a short holiday in KL, to celebrate my dear friend's birthday. I was more excited about her birthday than she was, so much so that I kept announcing it to everyone that we met in KL. Heh. I'm so embarassing to be with sometimes.

There were many highlights of the trip -- one of them visiting Batu Caves during the Thaipusam. Awesome photographic moment! Took lots of photos and am keen to upload them in my flickr account, so I'm finally uploading the rest of my Siem Reap photos.

This particular photo was taken in Angkor Wat. It was sombering to walk along the corridors of Angkor and see such desecration of the Buddha statues. It was just sad. Bright orange material were draped over these statues.

Many thanks to Joyce for hosting us, and being an excellent tour guide! We also spent a night at the KL Hilton, money well-spent. The last morning was spent lounging at the swimming pool area. I was the only one who went swimming because for some inane reason, I decided to pack three bathing suits. The jacuzzi was also heavenly. I need to do more of these spoiled holiday moments. Don't get me wrong, cheapie backpacking trips are so much fun but it's great once in a while to indulge, wrap yourself in a fluffy bathrobe, and just relax...

p/s I also met a reader, Dermot, in KL. He was much taller than I expected. And funnier. He gave me stuff, a CD and a book. What an awesome guy!
